COL [NEM] on either side of palm-shoot, chained crocodile to right below, wreath above, two palm branches below, (S.1731, RIC 159, RPC 525) (illustrated); another AE As, Lugdunum mint, issued B.C. 10-7, (9.04 g), obv. laureate head to right of Augustus, around CAESAR PONT MAX, rev. altar of the cult of Roma and Augustus at Lugdunum, flanked by two columns, each surmounted by statue of Victory, in exergue ROM ET AVG, (S.1690, RIC 230, C.240); others (2) Augustus in Spain from Tarraconensis, Bibilis, Augustus, AE as, c. 2-14, citing the duoviri M. Semp. Tiberi and L. Lici. Varus, laureate bust right, rev. wreath, both very worn (RPC I, 392). Fair - fine, scarce. (4)
