BANK OF TASMANIA, one pound, Launceston, 18- (MVR Type 2b), imprint of Perkins Bacon & Co. London. A uniface proof, printed on thin paper, stamped 'specimen' in signature reserves and pencilled in margin '29th Nov 1856'. Clipped corners, heavily stained, otherwise extremely fine.
