B.S.C. (Birchgrove Sailing Club), 1921, prize fob in gold (9ct; 12.32g; 31mm), no maker, ring and scroll top suspension, reverse inscribed, 'B.S.C./14 Ft. Skiff./State Championship./Won By/"Warrigal"/E. De Wall./19.2.1921.'. Small dent on convex back, otherwise very fine.
The State 14ft skiff championship race was sailed under the auspices of the Birchgrove Club over the Iron Cove course with a field of 14 starters. Warrigal won the race by 3 minutes. Birchgrove is a harbour side inner suburb of Sydney opposite Cockatoo Island and Iron Cove is a bay on the Parramatta River which runs into Sydney Harbour.
