THE SHORTHORN SOCIETY (OF THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN AND IRELAND), 1936, prize medal in gold (9ct; 54.26g; 51mm), hallmarked by HP (H.Phillips) for 1935, obverse, head of King George V left, reverse, open wreath and inside inscribed, '1936/Royal Easter Show/Sydney N.S.W./Awarded to/Messrs. I.J.Sloan & Co./for/Champion Shorthorn Bull/Coonong Defender', in case of issue by F.Phillips, Medallist, Aldershot. Uncirculated.
Note: H.Phillips and F.Phillips were related. See Noble Numismatics Sale 129 (lot 574) for another similar prize medal to same owner and bull in 1937.
