THAILAND, Thai Sikh No 6 Mini Marathon, 11 Jan 1991, 1st place medal, in silvered and gilt (80mm), scroll and ring top suspension for neck ribbon, Thai text on reverse translated as, 'Ananda Mahidol Foundation Rama 8'. Extremely fine.

The Ananda Mahidol Foundation was founded in 1955 by the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, Rama the Ninth of Thailand, to honour the memory of his late brother, King Ananda Mahidol, Rama the Eighth, and to support and sponsor exceptional young students of Thailand.
