GREEK SOUTH EAST ITALY, Apulia, c.4th century B.C., Xenon ware Prochous, the vessel with long beak, loop handle and slim neck, small female heads moulded at base of spout, the body decorated with olive leaves and tendrils in pale red, (160mm high). Very fine and attractive.
