INDIA, 19th century, bronze statuette of Shiva Nataraja, depicted as a divine cosmic dancer, guiding the river Ganga down from the heavens to safely fall on earth, his left hand is firmly planted on the dwarf of Ignorance apasmara, there is a prahabhamandala or fiery arch surrounding Shiva, (185mm high). Very fine and scarce.
