SCOTLAND, University of St Andrews MCCCCXI (1411), prize medal in bronze (52mm), obverse, design of the interior of a medieval hall with shields and St Andrew nailed to a cross and with young boy holding a candle and kneeling before a teacher and with watching group of boys at right, reverse inscribed in the centre, '1914-15' and around the outside, 'Geology Engineering Course/William James Stewart', in case of issue by Alexr Kirkwood & Son, Medalists, 9 St James Square, Edinburgh, Estab. 1926. Toned obverse, good very fine.
