1831 PROOF SET CASE, William IV, 1830-37. 1831, S-PS2 Coronation, Two Sovereigns to Farthing (14 coins). The coins are all struck in coin alignment unless otherwise noted. With contemporary rare maroon leather covered timber presentation case fitted with brass swivel hooks. Round corners with blue velvet roundels in a 3-4-4-3 pattern with blue ribbon lifters and white silk lining to the lid. Mintage unknown but estimated at 150 -200 sets struck. The number of privately struck individual low denomination silver and copper proof coins is more significant and unknown. Very fine.
