1887 PROOF SOVEREIGN, Victoria, 1837-1901. S-3866, W&R 333 (Scarce). 7.99g. Obverse - Joachim E. Boehm's Jubilee bust with small crown and veil, J.E.B. high on truncation with hooked J. Slightly smaller effigy revealing more detail at the base of the Star of the Garter. The first legend type with the top of the crown set into the decorative border and the legend's D:G: is further from the crown. Deep cameo proof, minimal hairlines, virtually FDC and scarce.
