1887 PROOF SIXPENCE PATTERN, Victoria, 1837-1901. S-3928, ESC-3271, Davies unlisted (R7). 2.83g. Obverse - Joachim E. Boehm's small Jubilee bust with small crown and veil, J.E.B. off truncation. Bevelled narrow rim and upward stroke of R letter has serif on the left side in GRATIA. Reverse - As per the shilling with a square-topped crowned shield of arms within the garter, the crown breaks through the garter. On this coin, the garter fills the whole interior of the crown, and a dot (in relief) is present under the date - An extremely scarce die variety. Deep blue grey tone, brilliant FDC and extremely rare.
