1887 PROOF SHILLING, Victoria, 1837-1901. S-3925, ESC-3138, Davies 982 (R). 5.65g. Obverse - Joachim E. Boehm's small Jubilee bust with small crown and veil, J.E.B. on truncation. Reverse - Square topped crowned shield within the garter, the crown breaks through the garter. The loop on the Q in QUI (garter inscription) has a curved, looped tail. Die crack through the date, indicating a later use of the die. Attractive toning, brilliant FDC and rare.
