1887 PROOF CROWN - BEST COIN, Victoria, 1837-1901. S-3921, ESC-2586, L&S 74, Davies 480 (R). 28.31g. equivalent dies to the Five Sovereign though slightly larger. Obverse - Joachim E. Boehm's Jubilee bust with small crown and veil, J.E.B. on truncation. Reverse Benedetto Pistrucci's St George and the Dragon small B.P. in relief below right of exergue. Gem iridescent brilliant proof FDC and rare, one of the finest known.
