1887 PROOF CROWN - RARE DIE COMBINATION, Victoria, 1837-1901. S-3921, ESC-2586, L&S 74, Davies 480 (R). 28.14g. Obverse - Joachim E. Boehm's Jubilee bust with small crown and veil, rare variety where the J.E.B. intials are partially off the truncation. Reverse - Benedetto Pistrucci's St George and the Dragon small distinct B.P. in relief below right of the exergue. The 1 in date has a flat top compared to the more common stepped top. Untoned, brilliance cameo, FDC and rare.
