1893 PROOF FLORIN, Victoria, 1837-1901. S-3939, ESC-2963, Davies 831 (Dies 2 A) (R). 11.31g. Edge straight-grained. Reverse - Three shields representing the Royal Arms within the the Garter. The shields are separated by floral emblems for the three kingdoms and are fixed by two crossed sceptres and topped with the Imperial crown. A beaded circle supports the outer legend, which reads . ONE . FLORIN (crown and sceptres) TWO . SHILLINGS . 1893 is split the at the base by the garter. Light iridescence, brilliant FDC and rare.
