1911 PROOF HALF CROWN, George V, 1910-1936. S-4011, ESC-3710, Davies 1661 (S). 14.11g. Chamfered rim. Reverse -It is almost identical to the 1902 design except for the absence of a beaded circle between the garter and legend. (modified De Saulles design with no initials as performed by the Mint) A central crowned Shield of the Royal Arms scalloped and cusped with Garter and collar. The miniature St George and dragon pendant at the base of the garter is replaced with floral decoration. 1911 Proof Florin, George V, 1910-1936. S-4012, ESC-3756, Davies 1731 Dies 2 A (S). 11.29g. I of GEORGIVS to gap between denticles Reverse - Four crowned shields (Royal Arms) in a cross pattern at the centre is the Star of the Garter. Four sceptres divide the angle between the shields. No designer initials as an internal (Mint) design. The legend reads between crowns ONE Florin with the date below. 1911 Proof Shilling, George V, 1910-1936. S-4013, ESC-3800, Davies 1792 Dies 3 A (S). 5.64g. Reverse -Lion passant regardant standing upon the Imperial Crown with a decorated inner circle between the legend and now a denticular border instead of the plain 1902 version. No designer's initials ( internal Mint modification of De Saulles Royal Crest) a copy of the 1902 design. The legend reads FID: DEF: IND: IMP: with the date split by the crown and ONE SHILLING below the decorative inner circle. 1911 Proof Sixpence, George V, 1910-1936. S-4014, ESC-3872, Davies 1863 Dies 2 B (S). 2.81g. Reverse - A modified version of the DeSaulles shilling design of the Royal Crest. As per the 1911 shilling. The legend reads FID: DEF: IND: IMP: with the date split by the crown and SIXPENCE below. 1911 Proof Maundy Set, George V, 1910-1936. S-4016, ESC-3971, Davies 1970 (N). 4 coins with plain edge 4d 1.90g, 3d 1.43g, 2d 0.95g and 1d 0.47g. Reverse - Merlen's modified design now with Imperial crown above numeral value, which splits the date; near the rim, two oak branches form a wreath tied by a ribbon at the base. Evenly matched, attractive blue grey tone brilliance, FDC. (8)
