Estimate $150

SOLD $400

CHINA, forgeries, silver one dollar (cf.K-663a), (26.67g) (39.61mm). This coin does not have the characteristics of a pattern and Giorgi's signature is a notch lower than on all of the certified examples sighted, it seems to have been struck with the same dies that were used for the business-strike dollar of this type, with Giorgi's signature simply added to the obverse die, toned nearly uncirculated.

Estimate / sale price does not include buyer's premium (currently 22% including GST) which is added to hammer price. All bids are executed on the understanding that the Terms & Conditions of sale have been read and accepted. For information on grading and estimates please refer to the Buying at Auction advice.
