THRACE, Maroneia, silver tridrachm (16.23g), c.386-347 B.C., under the Magistrate, Megakleos, obv. Head of young Dionysos left, wearing ivy-wreath,. rev. MAPONI / TE**WN - EP - MEGAK - LEOS*, grape vine with four bunches of grapes, leaves and tendrils, all within linear square, (S.-, Schonert-Geiss 390, cf.Boston 812, HGC 3, 1532, [R2]). Nearly very fine and very rare, high relief with old grey tone.

Only three coins of this type in Coin Archives, all in similar condition, Goldberg Feb. 2, 2021 (lot 1011) realised US$2300; another at Numismatik Naumann Auction 88, 5 April 2020 (lot 47) realised 2600 Euros.
