DIVUS AUGUSTUS, (after AD 14), Orichalcum sestertius, (28.69 g). Rome, under Tiberius, issued A.D. 35-36, obv. OB CIVES SER inscribed on shield surrounded by oak wreath, DIVO AVGVSTO S P Q R around, two adduced Capricorns and globe below, rev. TI. CAESAR DIVI AVG F AVGVST P M TR POT XXXVIII around large S C, (S.1763, RIC [Tiberius] 63, BMC 109, C. [Augustus] 303). Dark brown patina with minor reverse roughness, otherwise good very fine and rare.
