GAIUS (CALIGULA), an issue in honour of his deceased brothers Nero and Drusus, (A.D. 37-41), AE dupondius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 37-38, (14.52 g), obv. Nero and Drusus on horseback to right, around NERO ET DRVSVS CAESARES, rev. C CAESAR AVG GERMANICVS PON M TR POT, around SC, (cf.S.1828, RIC 34, BMC 44). Dark green patina, extremely fine and very rare in this condition.
