HADRIAN, (A.D. 117-138), silver denarius, issued 127, Rome mint, (3.26 g), obv. laureate head to right of Hadrian, around HADRIANVS AVGVSTUS, rev. modius containing six corn-ears, around COS III, (S.3482, RIC 197, RSC 470). Well centred, toned, very fine and scarce.

Ex Glendining's London, 14 December 1988 (lot 372 part).
