CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), silver denarius, issued 212, Rome mint, (3.20 g), obv. laureate head to right of Caracalla, around ANTONINVS PIVS AVG BRIT, rev. Hercules naked standing half-left, holding branch and club with lion's skin, around P M TR P XV COS III P P, (cf.S.6828, RIC 192, RSC 196). Lightly toned, extremely fine, minor spot on reverse.
