ELAGABALUS, (A.D. 218-222), silver denarius, Antioch mint, issued A.D. 218-219, (3.33 g), obv. laureate bust of Elagabalus draped to right, seen from behind, around ANTONINVS PIVS FEL AVG, rev. around FELICITAS, TEMP, galley to right with sail and six rowers, at stern a pilot, acrostolium and standard, at prow, furled sail or vexillum travelling right over waves, (S.7510, RIC 188, RSC 27a, BMC 277). Toned, nearly extremely fine, very scarce.
