MAXIMINUS I, (235-238 A.D.), AE dupondius (Orichalcum), 24 mm, (9.96 g), Rome mint, issued in 236 A.D., obv.IMP MAXIMINVS PIVS AVG GERM, radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Maximinus I to right, seen from behind, rev. PAX AVGVSTI with S - C across, Pax standing front, head to left, holding olive branch in right hand and long transverse sceptre in her left hand, (cf.S.8347, RIC 82, BMC 153, C.40). Round evenly struck, nearly extremely fine or better, reverse with mirror surface.
