ANASTASIUS I, (A.D. 491-518), half follis (large module), issued 512-518, Constantinople mint, officinae **D*, obv. diademed draped bust to right, around DN ANASTA SIUS P P AVC, rev. K, cross to left and (officinae) **D*, (S.25, DOC 24e, BMC 32, To 41). Dark green and earthern patina very fine and scarce.

Ex CNG private purchase January 2013, coming from Stack's Bowers Galleries (& Ponterio) Sale 172, 16 November 2012 (lot 11900 part) from the collection sold as the Demarete Collection, being the collection of Elvira Clain-Stefanelli (item No.4418 from her collection) with her packet.
