Entitled to 1939-45 Star; Africa Star; Pacific Star; Defence Medal 1939-45; War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal 1939-45.

NX70068 Joseph Neil Stevens, labourer, born 27Jul1917 at Henty, NSW; Enl.13Mar1941 at Recruiting Depot Eastern Command, NSW, with previous service of one year with 56Bn and two years with 21LHR; Disch.12Mar1947 as Lance Sergeant ex 6 Div Amm Sub Pk; served in Middle East 09Apr1941 to 22Apr1942, New Guinea 15Sep1942 to 22Apr1944, and Morotai and Japan 10Apr1945 to 08Feb1947; Disch.12Mar1947; after his war service Joseph Stevens joined the NSW Police Force and when the Queen Visited NSW during the Royal Visit Tour in 1954 he was one of those chosen for escort duties on her arrival.
