PRINCESS MARY CHRISTMAS 1914, gift tin in brass; included with the tin is a group of four WWI miniatures for Military Cross, 1914-15 Star, British War Medal 1914-18, Victory Medal 1914-19 with MID, stuck on a card strip and this marked 'Trevethan MC/Flying Corps'; also a matching riband bar but without MID emblem; backing plate for Wounded Stripe; Rising Sun collar badge, no lugs; Australia bronze metal title bar; ARP (Air Raid Precautions) Victoria badge, AP796; also a Prussian WWI pilot's badge in zinc coated brass and voided so probably a copy although it looks like it has been worn regularly. Very good - good fine. (7+miniatures)
Sqn Ldr Richard Michael Trevethan MC (1895-1971) was a British WWI flying ace. He was also awarded the Russian Order of St Anna 2nd Class.
