BRITISH NAVY LEMANIA SUBMARINE STOPWATCH, steel Swiss stopwatch for use with torpedoes and sonar, 1969 issue, reverse impressed, '0552/520-9365/arrow marking/285/69/Max/Run = 1 Hour'. In working order, nearly uncirculated.

0552 is the Ministry of Defence code or service reference number for the Royal Navy; 520-9365 is the NATO stock number for a stopwatch marked for 6 seconds, seconds/yards; 285 is the serial number; and 69 is the year of manufacture, 1969. This watch is designed for use with sonar for timing the return of sonar pings and torpedo runs.
