Entitled to clasps Cape Colony, Rhodesia, Orange Free State, Transvaal and the King's South Africa Medal.

Cornelius Thompson, labourer, born 03Nov1863 in Warracknabeal, Vic; Enl.4th Victorian Imperial Bushman/Australian Imperial Regiment (A.I.R); Emb.01May1900 Port Melbourne per 'Victorian'for South Africa; Disemb.23May1900 at Beira; served with VIB 23May1900 to 22Jun1901, then Bushveldt Carbineers 03Jul1901 to 26Feb1902. Murray p268 spelt as Thomson.
