GROUP OF NINE: Australian Active Service Medal 1945-1975 - clasp - Vietnam; Vietnam Medal 1964-73; Australian Service Medal 1945-1975 - clasp - S E Asia; Defence Force Service Medal with four bars; National Medal with one bar; Australian Defence Medal; National Service Medal 1951-1972; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, - clasp - 1960-; Pingat Jasa Malaysia Medal. 53602 R.J.Brown on all but fourth medal, this with 53602 Brown A.J. The second medal impressed, the fifth and eighth medals engraved, all other medals pantograph engraved. Display mounted, extremely fine.

Together with Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm Unit Citation in box of issue.

Also entitled to Army Commendation badge.

Citation for Commendation: The Commander of the 1st Military District has brought to my attention your outstanding dedication and performance of duty with the Australian Army, in particular in the field of Electronic Warfare with the 7th Signal Regiment.

During your long career you have served with distinction in Singapore, South Vietnam and Australia, and have successfully completed sensitive tasks of national importance. You have for many years provided excellent advice and assistance to young operators, non-commissioned officers and officers of the three Services, and are recognised as a specialist of great skill in the trade of Operator Signals.

I commend you for your long and dedicated service: you have set and achieved the highest of standards in your trade bringing great credit to yourself, your Corps and the Australian Army.
