Citation: For Meritorious achievement while participating in sustained operational flight missions in the South-west Pacific Area from 4 November 1944 to 3 January 1945, during which hostile contact was probable and expected. These operations consisted of bombing missions against enemy airdromes and installations and attacks on enemy naval vessels and shipping. The courage and devotion to duty displayed by Lieutenant Ingraham during these flights are worthy of commendation.

Major Duncan Greenleaf Ingraham, official number O-709385, born 30Apr1924, served as a navigator in the SW Pacific in the 5th Bombardment Group (Heavy) during WWII and also served in the Korean War. Periods of service 22Oct1942 to 05Mar1971 includes active service WWII: 22Oct1942 to 14Nov1945, and Korea: 27Jul1951 to 26Sep1953. Military education: AFNS Navigation Training (1944 & 1951); AFNS Navigation Refresher (1945); Advanced Navigation School, Selman Field, LA.
