AUSTRALIA, ALH (Australian Light Horse) Boer War sweetheart badge in the shape of a map of Australia, handcrafted in sterling silver (33.5x26mm), pierced hole at top for suspension. Fine.
On the map there is no indication of ACT or Northern Territory which did not come under federal control until 1 January 1911. So presumably the above map was made during the Boer War prior to these territories becoming separate entities.
