WWII JAPANESE SURRENDER, envelope stamped, 'H.M.A.S. "Shropshire"/Official Signing Of/Japanese Surrender', addressed to Mrs C.F.Bourke at North Sydney and with a 3 pence brown Australian postage stamp with rubber stamp cancellation in Japan, the envelope is covered front and back with signatures that appear to be of crew members on the heavy cruiser Shropshire in Tokyo Bay for the official surrender. Cut on three sides to open and with some edge tears, otherwise fine.

Note: Some signatures have been checked and are confirmed as crew members of the Shropshire.
