WWII PARCHMENT MAPS USED BY RAF, England Eastern Counties (N.), Royal Air Force Edition, Sheet 6, in hardcover, numbered 14460/39, ? inch to one mile of Norfolk, a few locations include The Wash, Boston, Peterborough, Norwich and Great Yarmouth; another from same series but without hardcover, unnumbered, features Eastern Counties (S.); another that appears to be from same series but without hardcover, numbered 16100/38, a few locations include Oxford, Birmingham, Leicester, Worcester, Hereford. Fine. (3)

The maps are not personalised, other than having Brennan written in pencil in the top left of the inside cover of the first map, but are said to have been used by Flt Sgt V.P.Brennan DFC, DFM during his training in England. On 13 June 1943 Flt Lt Virgil Paul Brennan 404692 RAAF, 75 Squadron was killed when an aircraft he was ferrying collided with another aircraft after both landed on the runway at Garbutt Airfield, Townsville, Queensland. He was buried at Townsville War Cemetery.
