BALLARAT COLLEGE, handcrafted fob prize medal, in silver (34mm), with ring top suspension, reverse inscribed, 'H. Turton/1st Siamese Race/1888'. Fine.

The annual sports meeting of Ballarat College was held at the Eastern Oval on Friday 16 November 1888. The Siamese Race was won by Greenfield and Turton, starting off 10 yards, and Turton, starting off 25 yards, also came third in the Sack Race. The Siamese Race, or the 3-legged race, required 2 competitors, each to tie one leg to their partner, and thus run as a team like 'Siamese twins'.
