T(OWNS)VILLE EISTEDDFOD, prize fob in handcrafted gold (9ct; 3.90g; 23x33mm), ring top suspension, obverse inscribed, 'JFS', reverse inscribed, 'Tville/Eisteddfod/1921/Bass Solo/won by/J F Squire'. Very fine.

J.F.Squire also played tennis (1913) and was a baritone singer (1922) in Charters Towers in Queensland being the soloist at the Central Methodist Church. He was employed by Holliman & Co, hardware and timber suppliers to the mining industry.
