ITALY, Bruttium, Petelia, (280-216 B.C.), AE 20 quadrans, (5.16 g), obv. laureated head of Zeus to right, three pellets behind, dotted border, rev. naked Zeus facing striding to right, hurling thunderbolt and holding sceptre, around **[P]ETHLI NWN*, monogram behind, (S. 680, BMC 1, HN Italy 2461, Caltabiano Petelia Pl.IV, 7, SNG ANS 612, SNG Munich -). Attractive dark brown patina, nearly extremely fine and very scarce.
