BOIOTIA, Tanagra, silver obol, early - mid 4th century B.C., (0.63 g), obv. Boeotian shield, rev. forepart of horse to right, around T and A below horse, all within incuse circle with curved edge. (cf.S.2451, BCD 281b [Triton IX, p.59 This Coin], Head "Boeotia" p.52, Traite III 347 [Pl.CCIV, 9], cf.BMC 36-8 [p.63], McClean 5560, SNG Cop. 231, HGC 4, 1291). Slightly porous, very fine and rare.
