BOIOTIA, Tanagra, silver obol, early - mid 4th century B.C., (0.63 g), obv. Boeotian shield, rev. forepart of horse to right, around T and A below horse, all within incuse circle with curved edge. (cf.S.2451, BCD 281b [Triton IX, p.59 This Coin], Head "Boeotia" p.52, Traite III 347 [Pl.CCIV, 9], cf.BMC 36-8 [p.63], McClean 5560, SNG Cop. 231, HGC 4, 1291). Slightly porous, very fine and rare.
Ex BCD Collection, CNG Triton IX, (lot 281b), with collector's detailed description, without CNG ticket, all in flip.
