MARCUS AURELIUS, (A.D. 161-180), silver denarius, Rome Mint, issued A.D. 162, (3.23 g), obv. bare head of Marcus Aurelius to right, around IMP M AVREL ANTONINVS AVG, rev. around CONCORD AVG TR P XVI, COS III, Concordia seated to left, holding patera, resting on statuette of Spes, cornucopiae below seat, (S.4882, BMC 185, RIC 35, RSC 36a). Lightly toned, minor oxidation on reverse, otherwise nearly extremely fine, scarce.
