MAXIMIAN, as Augustus, second reign (A.D. 286-305, 306-308, 310), AE follis, Trier Mint, issued A.D. 305-7, (10.00 g), obv. laureate half bust cuirassed to right of Maximian in imperial mantlewith olive branch and mappa to right, around D N MAXIMIANO FELICISSIMO SEN AVG, rev. around PROVIDENTIA DEORVM QVIES AVGG, Providentia standing to right extending right hand to Quies standing left, holding branch, leaning on sceptre, S - F in field, PTR in exergue (S.13395, RIC 673b, C.491). As struck, extremely fine, with minor hoard patination on reverse legend, rare.

Ex Dr V.J.A. Flynn Collection and previously from A.H. Baldwin & Sons Ltd with their priced ticket 200 pounds.
