MAXIMIAN, as Augustus, second reign, (A.D. 286-305, 306-308, 310), AE follis, London Mint, issued A.D. 307, (9.78 g), obv. laureate bust cuirassed to right of Maximian, around DN MAXIMIANO P F AVG, rev. around GENIO POP ROM, Genius standing to left, holding patera and cornucopiae, in exergue PLN, (S.13444, RIC 90, C.147). Dark patination, about as struck, extremely fine and rare.

Ex Dr V.J.A. Flynn Collection and previously from A.H. Baldwin & Sons Ltd with their priced ticket 110 pounds.
