JUSTIN II, (565-578), AE follis or 40 Nummi, Nicomedia mint, issued year 7, 571-572, Officinae A, (12.13 g), obv. frontal enthroned figures of Justin and Sophia he holds globe cruciger and she holds cross sceptre, cross between around legend DN IVSTI NVS PP AVI, rev. Large M, cross above, A/N/N/O to left, GI to right, A below, NIKO in exergue, (S.369, DOC 97a, W.-, H.46a.7a, T.120, BNP 18, R.851). Nearly extremely fine, sharp eyes, with dark green earthern patination, rare in this condition.
