Selwyn Joseph Outridge, farmer, age 20, born at Ipswich, Qld; Enl.16Oct1916 at Brisbane, Qld in 18RFTS for 26Bn, with previous service of 3 years in Senior Cadets Area 10A and 6 months in CMF 71Infy; Emb.22Dec1916; to France 19Jun1917; TOS 26Bn 09Jul1917; to hospital sick 31Jul1917; rejoined unit 06Aug1917; to hospital sick 03Jan1918 and again on 17Jan1918 and invalided to England 09Mar1918; to France 18Jun1918; WIA 08Aug1918 GSW right shoulder, France and invalided to England 11Aug1918; to T/Cpl and A/Sgt 04Feb1919; to ER/Cpl & retain A/Sgt 22Jun1919; AWL 15Sep1919 to 22Mar1920 resulting in reduction to ranks and 90 days detention; RTA 17Apr1920 and unexpired portion of sentence to detention remitted; Disch.23Jun1920.
