AUSTRALIA, Melbourne, Penal Department of Victoria, Convict's Ticket of Leave on vellum, issued by the Inspector General of the Penal Department, to John Edwards, 18 November 1862, (20.5 x 32 cm document size), in custom frame with glass back and front, (39 x 52 cm). Very fine and very rare.

John Edwards was convicted at Melbourne on 15 September 1852 of assault with intent to rob. This is an early and historically important Ticket of Leave from Melbourne.
