AUSTRALIA, WWI tribute fob in hand engraved voided gold (9ct; 4.52g; 28x38mm), ring top suspension, obverse inscribed, 'Australia', reverse inscribed, 'Presented to/Pte/J. O'Rourke/from/Residents of/Farleigh/as a/Memento of/Service Rendered/Great War/1918'. Toned very fine.
J.O'Rourke's name is recorded on the embossed copper Farleigh Mill Honour Board 1914-1918 located in Mackay Sugar Farleigh Mill Administration Office at Farleigh, Mackay, Queensland. Next to his name is recorded 'Not positively identified'.
