ST PETER'S COLLEGE, Adelaide, award medal in silver (39mm) inscribed on reverse 'M.G.D.Murray/Long Jump/19Ft 10?In/1905'. Minor edge nick, otherwise extremely fine.

Malcolm George Douglas Murray, born 4 January 1887 in Adelaide, educated at St Peter's College Adelaide and Trinity College Cambridge. On returning to Adelaide in 1912 he became a farmer/grazier before enlisting on 3rd October 1917 in Adelaide, embarking from Sydney with the 9th Light Horse, 30th April 1918. He died of disease 25th October 1918 in Syria and was buried in the Damascus British War Cemetery.^^Together with research.
