ROYAL SHIPWRECK RELIEF & HUMANE SOCIETY OF N.S.W., illustrated and coloured Certificate of Merit under perspex and matt framed in gilt timber (approx 54x46cm), for the award to Howard E. Wittey (Aged 14) for the assistance rendered in the rescue of two men named Black and West from drowning in Rose Bay on 29th October 1923. Some faded details on certificate, also ageing and spotting as well as spotting on mat framing area, otherwise very fine.
