CHINA, Chou Dynasty, Early - Middle period, (500-400 B.C.), large size pointed sharp shoulder pointed foot spade money, hollow head, (15.73 g), height 110mm, (cf.H.2.184). Attractive green patina with mild loss of surface on stem or handle, fine and very rare.

Ex Artemide Aste XXIX, lot 1124. With ticket and research.^This piece represents the earliest form of spade money.
