MARCUS AURELIUS, memorial issue for Antoninus Pius, silver denarius, issued after 161 A.D., Rome Mint, (3.28g), obv. bare lead right, around DIVVS ANTONINVS, rev. DIVO PIO around, statue of Antoninus Pius enthroned to left, holding branch and resting on sceptre, (S.5194, RIC 442, BMC 65, RSC 352); together with another Rome mint 141 A.D., (3.04 g), rev. AEQUITAS AVG, Aequitas standing left, (cf.S.4049, RIC 61, RSC 13). Both very fine and scarce. (2)
