GALBA, (A.D. 68-69), AE dupondius, (12.824 grams), Rome mint, issued A.D. 68-69, obv. laureate draped bust of Galba to right, around SER GALBA IMP CAESAR AVG TR P, rev. Libertas standing to left, holding pileus and vertical rod, around LIBERTAS PVBLICA, [S C] across, (cf.S.2128, RIC -, BMC -). Dark black patina, tooled on reverse removing S C, attractive good fine/nearly very fine and apparently unpublished with obverse and reverse legends.
